The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Directors has decided to continue sharing agreements with the Glidden-Ralston Community School District for the 2017-18 school year. The sharing of Transportation Director, Tom Reiter, between the districts has been ongoing for several years and results in a small increase in funding from the state as it falls under an operational sharing incentive. The arrangement has Reiter spending 80 percent of his time working with CCSD concerns and the remainder with Glidden-Ralston. In another agreement between the districts, maintenance of vehicles will also be shared. This allows for an additional mechanic to be available for work on problems with any vehicles in either CCSD or Glidden-Ralston’s fleet. The Carroll board of directors meet again Monday, May 15 at 6 p.m. in the Adams Elementary School boardroom.
