A man crossing a street has died after being struck by a car in Sac City Wednesday morning. At approximately 11:40 a.m., the Sac City Police Department responded to the scene of a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Audubon and South 5th Streets. According to reports, a black 2015 Chevrolet Impala, driven by 74-year-old Sherry Busch, of Sac City, was traveling north on South 5th Street. At the same time, 88-year-old Alan Galbraith, of Sac City, was crossing the street and was hit by the Busch vehicle. Galbraith was transported to Loring Hospital in Sac City and later airlifted to a Sioux City hospital where he died shortly after. No charges are expected to be filed.
