Tickets are now on sale for one of the areas favorite fan-based evenings, the Carroll Area I-Club Banquet. This year’s featured guest speakers will be Hawkeye men’s basketball coach, Fran McCaffery and wrestling coach, Tom Brands. Other UI coaches, staff and players will attend the May 3 event, with Gary Dolphin, the voice of the Hawkeyes, emceeing and special guest appearances by former defensive end and current player development coordinator, Broderick Binns representing the football team and Jan Jensen, associate head coach, who will represent the women’s basketball team. All Hawkeye fans are invited to attend the annual fundraising program at the American Legion Hall in Arcadia, which helps raise money for college athletics. Cost to attend is $30 for adults and $15 for students in seventh grade or younger. Ticket price includes the meal and the program, but there is a deadline of Wednesday, April 26 to reserve your seat. Social hour will be held at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 and the program to follow. Details on how to reserve your tickets or to get more information can be found with this story on our website.
