The Carroll Community School District was forced to cancel classes at Fairview Elementary School today (Thursday) due to a power outage. Superintendent, Rob Cordes, says the problem is believed to have come about from some of Wednesday’s severe weather.
A crew from Drees Co. is at Fairview today working on getting power returned. Cordes says he was made aware of the problem when he received a call late Wednesday night from a school custodian.
With any luck, Cordes iterates, they will get the electricity restored and school will resume as normal on Friday. The district will use both the call system and Carroll Broadcasting to keep families notified about what will happen in regards to school tomorrow.
