This year’s Kuemper Ball will be held Saturday May 6, at the Carrollton Inn, and co-chair, Brett Greve, says fundraising for A Knight on the Red Carpet began nearly immediately with a new event; a golf outing.
Fellow co-chair, Jamie Kock, says it was a great day that included a live auction, band and catered dinner, and it was a great way to give something back to the people who have supported the ball. But the golf outing isn’t the only new feature the chair couples have added to their fundraising efforts. Greve says they have a new twist added to this year’s vehicle raffle.
Kock says these can be used whether your ticket is a winner or not. There are over $40,000 worth of raffle prizes, and Kock says the Ag raffle will be a feature prize again this year.
In addition to raffles, the live auction includes the chance to win seats at the Kuemper gym, parking spots and new this year, they will be auctioning off a night with Father Feller. He is going to cook a five-course dinner at the winners’ home for up to six people. With the prizes and entertainment by the Al Welsh Orchestra and A Time of Your Life, featuring Kuemper alum, Scott Masching, Kock says they think they are on track to have a great time and to hit a good dollar amount of proceeds at a Knight on the Red Carpet. The day will begin with Mass at 4 p.m. and then the senior buffet will be held at the Carrollton Inn from 5 to 7 p.m. The general public buffet will be open from 7 to 11 p.m. An $80 donation to the Kuemper Ball gains entry and meals for two.
