Girls Who Were Source Of Amber Alert Found Safe, Mother Still At-Large

An AMBER Alert that was issued on Tuesday afternoon was canceled by authorities later that night, at approximately 9 p.m., when it was reported the girls were found safe. Clay County authorities say that eight-year-old twin girls, Adia and Lillian Johnson-Enos, and four-year-old Olivia Sophia Arzaga were reported missing from Royal at approximately 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning and were believed to be taken by their non-custodial mother, 25-year-old Danica Arzaga. The girls were abandoned by Arzaga in Sanborn, about 26 miles from Royal, and were returned to family members. Arzaga, however, is still at-large. She is believed to be driving a maroon, 2003 Cadillac CTS with Iowa license plate 561 XEY. She is described as a 5’ 3”, 135-pound white woman with brown eyes, black and purple hair and she has a large eagle tattoo on her chest. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement or the Clay County Sheriff’s Office at 712-240-3992. Authorities also report there were technical issues with the distribution of Tuesday’s AMBER Alert, and that while the media received notification, there was a delay in the distribution of text messages.
