A Carroll man reports that an object from another vehicle was responsible for a single-vehicle accident on Friday evening. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call at approximately 11:30 p.m. to learn that 25-year-old Alex Thomas Scharfenkamp had lost control of his 2017 Chevrolet Silverado while reacting to the foreign object and struck a bridge on Noble Ave. East of Carroll. Scharfenkamp was uninjured, but there was a reported $20,000 in damages to the Silverado’s front passenger corner and another $2,500 to the county bridge. He has been cited for failure to maintain control.
