Carroll Fire Department Responds To Attic Fire In Northeast Carroll

A truck shop on the northeast edge of Carroll was left damaged after a blaze broke out in the attic. At approximately 3:20 p.m., the Carroll Fire Department responded to reports of a fire at 23284 190th Street. Firefighters battled the attic fire for just over a half-hour until the situation was determined to be under control at around 3:50 p.m. An initial investigation revealed the insulation in the truck shop’s attic was set alight after the exhaust of a Hotsy pressure washer made contact with the cellulose layers. No injuries were reported in the incident, and damage estimates are not yet available. Firefighters remained on scene for just over an hour to monitor the building and address hotspots.
