Two CHS Mock-Trial Teams Advance To State

Carroll High School will be advancing two of their three regional-qualifying mock-trial teams to state competition after yesterday’s (Monday’s) wins at Morningside College in Sioux City. The freshman team had a 1-1 record for the day and did not move on, but the CHS Black team took first place. Four teams were undefeated in regional competition and the CHS White team claimed second place to advance. State mock-trial competition will be held over three days, beginning Monday, March 28 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines at 4 p.m. They will continue at the Iowa Events Center on Tuesday, March 29 from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. with the final day of competition on Wednesday, March 30 at the Iowa Judicial Building. No time has yet been designated for the 30th. A complete listing of the Carroll High School Students who participated in regionals and a listing of outstanding performance nominees can be found below.

 

Members of the Carroll Black team moving on to State on March 28 and 29 are:
