Ernst Disturbed By Obama Administration Payment To Iran

As a combat veteran and member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst says she is disturbed by the recent discovery that the U.S. has paid $400 million to Iran. She said, “It is incredibly concerning that at the same time the Iranian government was releasing four Americans that were detained in Tehran, the Obama administration reportedly proceeded to give $400 million to Iran and kept it a secret from the American people. The timing of this cash transfer is too coincidental and is another sign that this administration is willing to accommodate people who wish us harm.” She calls this an incentive to hold American citizens hostage, adding that Iran cannot be trusted and that is why there should not have been any deals made that removed sanctions, setting Iran on a path toward nuclear weapon acquisitions in a deal that puts Americans and our allies at risk.
