You can’t turn on any home improvement channel without seeing a show about the trials, tribulations and stacks of cash to be made from flipping houses. In 2015, more than 110,000 people were investing in flipping with an average gross profit of $55,000. Personal-finance website, WalletHub, took a closer look and provided details about which cities landed in the top of the profit list for flippers. The size and location of many Midwestern communities may not be conducive to high profits, but if you are looking to increase your odds of a successful flip, you may want to take a look at Des Moines, which did make the top 20 list, coming in at 17.
