Activities start at 3 pm with tours of the 100-year old Farmstead and 357-year old Hausbarn, horse and wagon rides, rug making, pumpkin painting, corn grinding, butter making, accordion playing, fainting goats, and a scavenger hunt. Bag tournament begins at 3 pm. Wine and craft beer tastings begin at 4 p.m. with entertainment by Angela and Gene from Sleepy Eye, MN. German-American dancers from Omaha perform at 5 p.m. and the official Keg Tapping Ceremony is at 5:30 p.m. German meal is 6-7 p.m., and Barefoot Becky and the Ivanhoe Dutchmen play from 7-10 p.m.
Admission for the entire day, including the meal, is $25 per person. For those not wanting the meal, the price is $10. If you want the meal only, the fee is $15 per person. Reservations for the meal are needed by Oct. 11 by calling 712.655.3131 or by emailing heritag@mmctsu.com.
