The Manning Public Library is doing a human chain event on Sunday, May 1. The event consists of individuals passing books to each other down Main Street, two blocks to the library’s new location. The event is called Books on the Block. They will pass over 1,000 books down Main Street by hand. This is a family event, and the library hopes to see a great turnout. The event begins at 4:00 p.m. at the library on Main Street in Manning.
