Sister Shirley Fineran, O.S.F., Sioux City, IA, will present a free public lecture on Human Trafficking at 6:30 pm, Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the Paton-Churdan school auditorium, Churdan. Sister Shirley is the founder and president o Lila Mae’s House, a trauma-informed, residential home for adult women survivors of domestic trafficking. Her lecture presents sex trafficking information for all ages, including parents, grandparents, educators, and potential victims She will talk about the various ways that young people are recruited into sex trafficking, indicators of vulnerability and exploitation, and how to safely respond to possible victimization of children and youth.
