It’s National Battery Day on Thursday, February 18th. Celebrate by safely disposing of your hazardous waste batteries!
Package up your batteries, Mask up your face, and drop off your old batteries in the entry way of the Recycling Center office from 7:30-3:00. We’ll send them to be dismantled and used again in the production of new batteries.
*hazardous batteries are accepted everyday during normal business hours as part of the hazardous waste program.
Hazardous Batteries are:
Lithium Batteries, Nickel/Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) Batteries, Mercury & Silver Oxide Batteries, Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cad) Batteries, Lithium-Ion Batteries, Lead Sulfuric Acid Batteries.
*Alkaline Batteries are NOT hazardous waste and can safely go in your trash.
