McFarland Clinic In Carroll Donates $2,500 To Kuemper To Help Fund Innovative Science Curriculum

McFarland Clinic in Carroll has donated $2,500 to Kuemper Catholic Schools to help fund the continued implementation of an innovative and interactive science curriculum for middle school students. Drs. Josh Williams, Abby Williams and Meredith Dryden presented the check during Ann Pottebaum’s science class Tuesday afternoon. Pottebaum says the money will be used to purchase access to Amplify Science, a curriculum that is designed to meet next generation science standards in the classroom.

It has proven to be popular with students as well as teachers. According to one of Pottebaum’s students, Kaci Peter, Amplify Science appeals to all learning styles.

Dr. Abby Williams, who graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School in 2004, says McFarland is proud to support these types of initiatives in local classrooms. She says the lessons learned will prove to be invaluable for the students, particularly for those interested in medicine.

Amplify Science is used by students in sixth, seventh and eighth grade at Kuemper and was first implemented during the 2018-19 school year.
