An unattended vehicle found in the ditch south of Rippey turns out to have been stolen. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on U Avenue, near 300th Street at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday. They found a 2010 Ford Taurus in the ditch on its side. The deputy contacted the registered owner, and learned it had been taken without the owner’s consent. The vehicle was deemed a total loss. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
