The third annual Senior Fun Day will be taking place Wednesday, Sept. 19 from 8:15 a.m. to noon at the Carroll Rec Center. Michelle Klocke, with Regency Park, says the day will start with a Veteran’s pinning.
Any veterans wanting to participate in the free pinning just need to be at the Rec Center at 8 a.m. to line up for the ceremony. After that, Amber Holm, with Elderbridge Agency on Aging, says attendees will be able to travel throughout the center for a lot of fun and educational activities.
Free blood pressure and blood sugar checks will go on throughout the morning and there will be presentations from legal aid and on Alzheimer’s disease. Jane Lawler, with Carroll Area Nursing, says they really do have a well-rounded group of exhibitors, ready and willing to help with all of the senior’s needs.
Refreshments will be served and prizes will be given throughout the event.
