Glidden City Council Passes Resolution Barring Vicious Animals From Other Communities Living In Town

The Glidden City Council passed a resolution last week that closes a loophole that could allow dogs deemed vicious in a different community to live in town. According to City Clerk, Suzy Danner, Glidden, like many other towns, already has rules regarding vicious animals within city limits, but she says the council did not have any official rules regarding dogs from elsewhere.

Danner says the council was not responding to any specific incident and just wanted to address the issue before something occurred. The only action needed was a general resolution.

The council passed that resolution unanimously. Due to the fact it is a resolution rather than an ordinance, no additional readings were required, and the new rule went into effect immediately.
