A Denison man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident Sunday morning. The Iowa State Patrol reports that 23-year-old Moises A. Carrera was northbound on 10th Street, near Northwood Ave. in Denison at approximately 8:26 a.m., when his car left the roadway and hit a tree. Carrera was transported to Crawford County Memorial Hospital by Crawford County Emergency Medical Services and later airlifted to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb. The crash remains under investigation.
