Audubon County Memorial Hospital and Clinics (ACMH) honors Becky Bruch, RN, with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses for the second time. Bruch has worked for the rural hospital since 1989 and was previously awarded the DAISY award in 2017. She works in the Outpatient Specialty Clinic and Surgery Department, with a lot of interactions with oncology patients. Nominations from ACMH Director of Pharmacy, Brett Pietig and Marlan Miller state that Bruch is everything for a patient, from a shoulder to cry on, calling and fighting with insurance companies to getting new prescriptions sent to the pharmacy. Bruch is known for always being kind, respectful and with a smile on her facing, providing comfort for both her patients and their families. In the nomination letter, Pietig says “Becky continues to make a lasting, positive, impact on the quality of care for both patients and families alike. She truly deserves to be a multi-time Daisy Award winner!” Pictures from the awards ceremony for Bruch can be found included below.
