The Carroll Police Department, in partnership with a pair of anonymous donors, is bringing Thanksgiving cheer to families in Carroll before the holiday. Police Chief Brad Burke says they have been working with the same couple since 2018, and it started out relatively small.
Burke says the couple first approached the police department because they felt the officers had a good read on the community and its people.
Burke says the response has been overwhelmingly positive, both from his officers and the people they have been visiting.
Burke adds that the Thanksgiving deliveries are something his officers look forward to every year, and he encourages others to find ways to support family, friends, neighbors, and individuals in need this holiday season.
