St. Anthony Regional Hospital’s Economic Impact Topped $180 Million In 2024

According to the Iowa Hospital Association’s (IHA) annual economic benefits survey, St. Anthony Regional Hospital contributed nearly $180 million to Iowa’s economy in 2024. According to the IHA’s report, the hospital’s expenditures totaled $101.79 million, and about half of that goes to staffing. St. Anthony Regional Hospital is Carroll County’s largest employer with a staff count of 735 people, leading to $48.03 million paid out in wages and benefits that are spent in and around the area at local businesses. An estimated 8.84 percent of the wages paid in Carroll County are from St. Anthony Regional Hospital. Approximately 7.48 percent of the county’s gross domestic product (GDP) is attributable to the hospital.
