Farmer Airlifted After Greene County Tractor Rollover Thursday

A Greene County farmer was airlifted with life-threatening injuries yesterday (Thursday) after a tractor rolled into a ditch. According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and the Jefferson and Churdan Fire Departments were dispatched to the intersection of L Avenue and 150th Street, three miles southeast of Churdan, at approximately 12:01 p.m. after a caller reported a 76-year-old male trapped under the tractor. The man was extricated from beneath the farm equipment and transported to the Jefferson Municipal Airport by Greene County Emergency Medical Services to be airlifted for treatment of suspected serious injuries.
