A Dow City man has been sentenced to ten years in prison today (Friday) after being found guilty of sexually abusing an employee. According to Crawford County District Court records, 39-year-old Timothy Craig Mitchell was found guilty by a jury of peers in June on three counts of third-degree sexual abuse, class C felonies, after he forced a female employee to perform various sex acts with him between November 2022 and January 2023 after she closed the bar. Mitchell was sentenced to serve ten years for all three counts, which will run concurrent with each other, and was given credit for time already served. Mitchell was found not guilty of two other charges for interference with official acts and tampering with a witness.
