It’s easy to look at Iowa State’s early schedule and dismiss their success. After all, the wins have come against teams that aren’t exactly setting the world on fire. Critics might point to a low-scoring victory over a struggling Iowa team, a close contest with a Kansas State squad that hasn’t found its rhythm, or a win over an FCS opponent in South Dakota that lost to Lamar.
