MRHC Welcomes New Family Practice Provider, Melissa Frazier

Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) has announced the addition of a new family nurse practitioner, Melissa Frazier, to its Family Practice Clinic beginning in September. Frazier brings more than 13 years of nursing experience and previously worked in a rural family clinic in Pocahontas. She earned her Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) degree from Walden University in 2023 and began her career as a nurse practitioner serving students and staff at Western Iowa Tech Community College. MRHC CEO Shannon Black says, “Melissa brings a strong background in family medicine, a passion for rural health, and a patient-centered approach that aligns beautifully with our mission. We’re thrilled to have her on board!” Frazier says she values prevention and early intervention as key parts of her practice. She provides care across all ages, with special interests in women’s health, chronic disease management, and in-office procedures. She looks forward to building lasting relationships in the Manning community and says, “I was drawn to becoming a nurse practitioner in family practice because I genuinely love the idea of being there for people throughout all stages of life, not just when they’re sick, but to help keep them well.” Frazier lives in Denison with her husband and two children. To schedule an appointment with Frazier starting in September at MRHC, call 712-655-8100.
