Revisions were approved by the Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education in regards to the Wrap Around program, Tiger Zone and CESA Employee handbooks. The Wrap Around program that serves as an after-school program for students in the A.M. preschool session will be increasing prices and no longer available on conference days. New fees for students enrolled will be $30 per day, Tuesday through Fridays and $35 on Mondays when preschool is not in session. Payment late fees also increased to $35 if paying monthly and $15 if paying weekly. A $3 per minute late fee will also be charged if a student is picked up after the 6 p.m. pickup time. Tiger Zone is the after-school program for elementary students that will be available until 6 p.m. each weekday. Cost to enroll children in the program will now be $14 per day for one child and $11 for each additional student per day. Like the Wrap Around program, Tiger Zone will not be available on conference days. Price increases for late fees will be the same as the Wrap Around program, however, a $4 per minute fee will incur for students picked up after the 6 p.m. ending time. Just one change was made to the CESA Employee handbook, reducing new hires for the positions of teacher and library associates, health assistants and educational interpreters’ probationary period from 60 days to 20 days. This change is due to the days being actually working days and not calendar days. Once the probationary period is up, CESA employees will have access to paid sick leave and the other benefits provided.
