Iowa Fuel Report: July 23, 2025

Fuel prices slightly increase on the week in the latest fuel report from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) and AAA-Iowa. As of Wednesday, July 23, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $2.95, two cents higher than last week price but still 34 cents lower than prices from a year ago. The national average remained unchanged from last week at $3.16 per gallon. Retail diesel prices in Iowa rose five cents to $3.58, up from the $3.53 per gallon that was reported this week last year. Iowa prices remain 16 cents below the national average for diesel at $3.74 per gallon. The current prices for renewables at the Des Moines Terminal are $1.97 for E-10, $2.30 for Unleaded 87, $2.57 for ULSD #2, $2.82 for ULSD #1 and $1.93 per gallon for E-70. Natural gas prices at the Henry Hub reporting site dropped 44 cents to $3.09 per MMBtu.
