The City of Glidden is now accepting applications for its façade improvement-building remediation grant to restore functionality, safety, structural integrity, and environmental health to in-town businesses. Four grants of up to $5,000 are available for eligible brick-and-mortar structures to be utilized for improvements to the building, including painting, windows, signage, roofing, construction, and other expenses approved by the Glidden City Council. Funding is provided on a reimbursement basis, with a required match of 25 percent of the total project costs. Applications can be picked up at the Glidden City Office and are due by July 25; recipients will be approved at the next city council meeting.
