The Westgate Mall in Carroll will have some furry visitors this weekend as the Carroll Chamber of Commerce and local businesses host Cause 4 Paws, a fundraiser to support the Animal Rescue of Carroll. Chamber Business Development Director Roseanne Nees says nearly a dozen businesses have partnered for the event, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 21.
Nees says the Animal Rescue of Carroll will also have several adoptable cats and dogs at the mall who are looking for their forever homes.
This is the second time the Westgate Mall has hosted Cause 4 Paws. It was the brainchild of Touch of Country owner Dee Svensson, who organized the first event this winter with True Value and Jeannine’s Hallmark.
The National Weather Service forecasts heat indices to reach over 100o F this weekend, and Nees and Svensson say Cause 4 Paws will be a great way to get out of the house this weekend without having to brave the scorching temperatures. Again, Cause 4 Paws is slated for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Westgate Mall in Carroll this coming Saturday.
