Diane was born on August 24, 1939 in Carroll, Iowa at St. Anthony Hospital. She was the daughter of Joe and Cecilia (Kotschewer) Schroeder, grew up in the town of Carroll, and attended school at Kuemper Catholic.

On April 29,1961 Diane was united in marriage to Donald Brincks at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Loeffelholz officiating. Following their marriage, Diane and Donald started their lives together in Oklahoma for 2 years, before moving to Carroll. Together they raised two wonderful children, Danny and Debbie. She worked at Farmland for many years before moving on to New Hope, where she worked for over 15 years.  Following her retirement, Diane dedicated her time to spoiling and adoring her great-grandchildren.

Diane loved to be in the kitchen, making delicious meals and baking treats for her family and friends. She also enjoyed taking trips to visit her siblings and occasionally made stops at the casino. One of Diane’s greatest joys was spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids, spoiling them with gifts, love, and attention. On Saturdays, you could often find her cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones. Many knew her fondly as “Red.”

Diane is survived by her daughter Debbie Loew (Brincks) of Carroll; her grandchildren Courtney Loew of Carroll, Jordon Loew of Manson, Hollie Cornell (Jesse) of Breda, and Taylor Loew and special friend Joshua Rivera of Carroll; and her great-grandchildren Piper, Timber, Jersey, Nova, Bonnie, and Denver; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 2000; her parents, Joe and Cecil Schroeder; her son Danny; her great-grandson Silas; her siblings Earl, Lowell “Buddy”, Leroy, Jeanette, Lois “Mickey”, Maxine, and Ruth Ann; and numerous brothers-in-law and sister-in-laws.

While Diane will be greatly missed, her spirit, kindness, and the moments she made special will continue to inspire and bring comfort to her family and friends for years to come.
