Along with the celebration of Thanksgiving next week, many Iowans are looking forward to the rush of kicking off their holiday shopping on Black Friday. This means that Carroll County shoppers will be digging deep into their wallets and even breaking out the credit cards to buy gifts for family and friends. According to a recent SmartAsset study, those Carroll County residents rank in the top five in their listing of counties with the lowest per-capita credit card debt in Iowa. In the study that compared that debt to income and net wealth, Carroll ranked at 95.67 on the index with an average of 6.4 percent debt to income.
