Over the course of this summer, the Sac County Landfill ceased its operations and began hauling waste to the Carroll County Landfill. To accommodate this change, a new transfer station was constructed at the site west of Sac City. On Thursday, Nov. 10, the Sac County Solid Waste Agency is inviting the public to an open house for the now completed station at 2430 260th Street. From 1 to 3:30 p.m. attendees will get the opportunity to see this state-of-the-art structure and learn what now happens with their solid waste, once it leaves their home or place of business.
