Nemaha Man Sentenced To Prison For Sex Offender Registry Violations

A Nemaha man was sentenced in Sac County District Court this week to prison for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements. According to Sac County District Court records, 41-year-old Nathen Scott Teneyck was ordered to serve up to five years after pleading guilty to the class D felony charge. Authorities say Teneyck was required to update his address with the Iowa Sex Offender Registry each time he moved in connection to a 2010 conviction for telephone dissemination of obscene material to a minor. According to law enforcement, Teneyck had moved to Battle Creek on Feb. 6 but failed to report that change to the appropriate authorities. The prison sentence stemmed from Teneyck’s history of non-compliance with registration failures, including three convictions from Crawford County District Court in 2017, 2018, and 2020.
