Gov. Kim Reynolds announced yesterday (Wednesday) her appointment of a Sergeant Bluff attorney to fill a district court vacancy in Judicial Election District 3B. Robert Tiefenthaler currently practices out of Sioux City as a sole practitioner and was chosen to fill the vacancy created by the upcoming retirement of Judge Jeffrey Poulson. Tiefenthaler earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota and his law degree from the University of South Dakota Law School. Judicial Election District 3B encompasses Crawford, Ida, Monona, Plymouth, Sioux, and Woodbury Counties.
