On Tuesday, Dr. Richard Deming, an Oncology Medical Director of the Mercy Cancer Center in Des Moines, was in Carroll for a presentation called Above and Beyond Cancer. Deming details what the presentation was about.
The event started at 5:30 p.m. in the Carrollton Center and was free. Deming is the long-time medical director of MercyOne’s cancer program and is an energetic leader in efforts to help Iowans live whole lives after they have been diagnosed with the disease. Deming says some of the patients he has been with have been on some amazing travel adventures.
