Ar-We-Va begins search for new Superintendent; Brosamle headed to Boyer Valley

Kurt Brosamle will be heading back to where his teaching career began; the Ar-We-Va Superintendent turned in his letter of resignation during a special board meeting on Wednesday night. He’s decided to accept a full-time Superintendent position at Boyer Valley. Brosomle’s decision follows on the heels of what seems like an endless stream of changes for the Ar-We-Va district which will begin partial-grade sharing with the Carroll School District this fall, and also eliminated eight teaching positions earlier this month. Brosamle says his decision is a reflection of the realities facing many smaller school districts all over the state.

Ar-We-Va’s search for Brosamle’s replacement is already underway with the district considering either a part-time or shared Superintendent’s position with applications due May 2. Brosamle says he began his teaching career as an Industrial Tech Instructor at Boyer Valley fresh out of college, but that doesn’t make leaving Ar-We-Va any easier.

Brosamle adds he’s been surrounded by outstanding teachers and staff members who are constantly challenging the students at Ar-We-Va. This will be just one more of the challenges they’ll have to face, but this time without him. Brosamle begins his new job at Boyer Valley July 1, 2016.
