The annual Chautauqua Days celebration in Sac City is back to a full schedule this year after dialing the 2020 event back some due to the pandemic. According to Chamber-Main Street Director, Jessica Pierce, festivities get started Friday night.
Pierce says Saturday will be the busiest day of the weekend with fun for the whole family planned throughout the day.
The parade route is right along Main Street, and kids are encouraged to bring bags or buckets along with them, as floats are allowed to throw candy. She adds this year’s school reunion is a special one. Generally, a few classes host their get-togethers during Chautauqua Days, but all graduates from the Sac City and East Sac County High Schools are invited to attend. Pierce says things slow down a bit on Sunday, starting with a community breakfast at the fairgrounds.
The full Chautauqua Days schedule is included below. Details about specific event registration can be using the Sac City Chamber Main Street’s Facebook page.
