Reneé Rapp joining Season 5 of ‘The Morning Show’ on Apple TV

Singer/actress Reneé Rapp is set to reenter the acting world with a role in Season 5 of The Morning Show on Apple TV+. She joins a high-profile ensemble led by Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Billy Crudup.

Apple TV posted on social media: “New network talent. Reneé Rapp joins The Morning Show for Season 5. #TheMorningShow #ReneeRapp #AppleTV”

Rapp will take on the recurring role of Samantha, “a young rising star in the UBN news division determined to make it in media on her own terms,” bringing fresh energy to the fictional newsroom at the center of the series. Her character is positioned as an ambitious newcomer eager to carve out her own path. The casting marks a return to screen work for Rapp, who stepped away from acting in recent years to focus on music. Before her music-focused hiatus, Rapp gained recognition for her role as Leighton in The Sex Lives of College Girls and for portraying Regina George in both the Broadway and film versions of Mean Girls.

Rapp joins previously announced additions to the Season 5 cast, including Jesse Williams and Jeff Daniels, alongside returning stars like Jon Hamm. Aniston and Witherspoon also serve as executive producers.
