A barbecue fundraiser hosted in Carroll by Cookies Sauches and Seasonings generated thousands of dollars to support services for individuals with disabilities at New Hope. The Cookies BBQ Rib Wagon partnered with the New Hope Village Foundation for a three-day event that served smoked ribs, pork loins, and other barbecue favorites to area residents. The event concluded with a $10,000 donation from Cookies Food Products to the foundation. Community members also contributed $570 in tips during the event, bringing the partnership’s total fundraising impact to more than $94,000 over the years. Interim CEO Lacie Tedrow says, “We had so much fun working with the Cookies Rib Wagon crew, meeting area supporters, and working together to benefit individuals served by New Hope. We are so grateful to Speed and his team for their incredible generosity and their long-standing commitment to our mission.” The Sauceman’s support of New Hope, including contributions tied to the Candy Classic charity golf tournament, now totals more than $110,000 lifetime. Funds raised through the Cookies partnership will support services for more than 170 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Carroll area, including residential, vocational, and community programs.
