Rep. Feenstra Opens Submissions For 2026 Congressional Art Competition

U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) has announced the launch of the 2026 Congressional Art Competition for high school students in Iowa’s 4th Congressional District. The annual competition, organized by members of the U.S. House of Representatives, invites students to submit original artwork for a chance to be recognized at the national level. One winning entry will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year, and the student artist will be invited to attend a reception in Washington. Feenstra says, “This competition empowers young artists to express themselves, represent our community, and engage with the federal government in a meaningful way.” Entries will be judged on originality, concept, technique, creativity, and representation of Iowa’s 4th District. Students must submit at least two clear photographs of their artwork taken in a well-lit setting. Submissions are due by 5 p.m. Central time on April 24 and should be emailed to District Director Abby Vander Werf at abby.vanderwerf@mail.house.gov. Additional guidelines and required forms are available below.
