The Ten Squared Women of Guthrie County has awarded $15,000 donation to the Guthrie Center Firefighter’s Association to purchase new communication radios. The fire department will be using the funds to purchase five to seven new portable radios, replacing outdated equipment that will help to improve communication, giving a clearer signal to help first responders assist in emergency situations. The Ten Squared Women of Guthrie County is a community organization that is going on 10 years of supporting local charities and non-profits in Guthrie County. The group currently has 140 members and contributes quarterly donations to the organization of their choice for various of projects or purchases. The next meeting for Q2 for 2026 is on May 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Café on the Hill in Guthrie Center.
