The Sac County Engineers office is informing commuters in Lake View of a bridge replacement project that will close a small section of High Street for approximately five months. The little over a mile-stretch of High Street (Perkins Avenue/ County Road M68), which is located underneath the Iowa Highway 175 bridge, will be closed to through traffic starting on Monday, March 16 through an expected competition date of August, weather dependent. A posted detour will be in place, utilizing IA175 to County Road M50, to D36 then back to M68 just west of Sac City. The detour is mapped out to avoid gravel travel.
