Denison Man In Custody For Allegedly Selling Stolen Vehicle

A Denison man facing theft and fraudulent practice charges after allegedly stealing a car then selling it. According to Crawford County District Court records, authorities say 37-year-old Luis Romeo Arguera became in possession of a 2013 Toyota Tacoma, and without the owner’s consent, sold it to someone else on Jan. 7. Arguera has pleaded not guilty to second-degree theft, a class C felony and second-degree fraudulent practice, a class D felony. He is currently being held on a $10,000 bond in the Crawford County Jail. If convicted of the charges, Arguera can face a maximum sentence of up to 15 years in prison and over $23,000 in fines.
