Democratic Candidate For Iowa District Four For U.S House, Dave Dawson, Hosts Town Hall Meeting This Past Weekend

Dave Dawson, Democratic candidate pursuing the open seat for U.S House for Iowa’s Fourth District, met with constituents in Carroll this weekend discussing his priorities and answering questions. Dawson, from Lawton, is a former State Representative for Iowa District 14, and current prosecutor for the Woodbury County Attorney’s Office, is running with what he calls extensive priorities that will ensure Iowa will continue to grow and put residents and their needs first.

Dawson says many current elected officials on both sides have showed they care for big corporate donors and party politics then the people they serve. Dawson says this is the first time in 40 years that an individual with legislative experience is running for the District Four seat, and with current Representative Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) campaigning for Iowa Governor, Dawson says the mood of the country has shifted and Iowans are wanting a change.

Questions from attendees ranged from education, Medicaid cuts, and corruption at the federal level. Dawson held the town hall meeting at the Carroll Public Library this past Saturday at part of his Grow Iowa Together Town Hall tour, visiting all 36 counties encompassed in Iowa’s Fourth District.  A schedule of his remaining stops on the tour can be found included below.
