David Lee Meiers, age 70, of Carroll, IA, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Funeral services will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll at 11am on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by Carroll American Legion.
Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll from 9:30 A.M. – 10:15 A.M. on Saturday prior to the service.

David was born on April 3, 1955 in Carroll, IA, and he was the son of Earl and Luella (Farrell) Meiers. He grew up in Carroll and graduated from Carroll High School in1973. Following high school, he attended DMACC for two years. Dave served in the United States Army from 1973 – 1976. Dave lived in Lubbock, TX, Amarillo, TX, and Rolla, MO before moving back to Carroll. He drove a bread route while living away from Carroll, and he was most recently employed by the Pella Corporation. Dave was married to Sandy (Glade) Schulze on October 29, 2023. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going for car rides around Swan Lake, cooking, and doing dishes.
David is survived by his wife Sandy of Carroll; his children and their families: Jerome Meiers (Tina) of Arcadia, Stacey Naughton (Jason) of Newell, IA, Emily Sheler (Matt) of Rolla, MO, Rachel Murphy (Matt) of Rolla, MO, and Matthew Meiers (Lauren) of Conway, MO; a step-son Michael Christensen (Shanna) of Cortez, CO; a step-daughter Suzy Schulze of Guthrie Center; two sisters: Barbara Berndt (Charles) of Aurora, MO and Carol Cerny (Dean) of Fairbury, NE; two brothers: James Meiers (Karen) of Lubbock, TX and Donald Meiers of Carroll; a sister-in-law Deb Knighten; a brother-in-law Chuck Glade (Sherrie) of Worland, WY; a sister-in-law Deb Knighten (Art) Placida, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
David was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Luella Meiers; and a sister-in-law LoAnna Meiers.
