The Carroll County Board of Supervisors has only one item on its agenda for Monday, aside from the usual weekly business. The board convenes at 9 a.m. on March 9 in the supervisors’ meeting room in the Carroll County Courthouse’s lower level. County officials will begin by reviewing and approving the latest payables, totaling just over $383,000. They will then consider a resolution authorizing the board chair to sign loan-forgiveness documents for the down payment assistance program, administered by the Region XII Council of Governments. The balance of three loans, totaling $36,195, is offered to eligible low- to moderate-income residents to assist with homeownership. Recipients repay the loan for at least five years, and it becomes eligible for forgiveness if the individual lives in the home for at least 5 years. The only other items on the agenda for Monday are the manure management updates and committee reports. The March 9 meeting is open to the public and will also be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube channel. Links to the agenda and video are included with this story on our website.
