It’s that time of year again, the Germans are going Irish for the 9th annual St. Patrick’s Day Manning Hausbarn Heritage Park (MHHP) Rib and Soup Cook Off this upcoming Saturday. Jean Stadtlander says it’s an opportunity for cooks to roll up their sleeves, show off their grilling skills all while supporting the operations of the MHHP.
Aside from all the food, Stadtlander says there will be other activities, including the Live Dessert Auction which can raise over $5,000 just itself.
Stadtlander says tickets are now available and will be cheaper if purchased in advance, then at the door at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
All proceeds from the event will go back to the MHHP for operational expenses. Stadtlander says it’s important to support this community staple as this Hausbarn is one of three in the U.S., marking it as the last one that will ever leave Germany.
