Denison Man Pleads Guilty To Delivering Over 55 Grams Of Cocaine

A Denison man has entered into plea agreement for selling over 55 grams of cocaine. According to Crawford County District Court records, 36-year-old Kurtis William Buter entered a guilty plea to two of the seven charges for a controlled substance violation and failure to affix drug stamp. On three separate occasions, Buter met with a cooperating source working with law enforcement to deliver 55.5 grams of cocaine between March 2024 and June of 2024. He was facing one count ongoing criminal conduct, unlawful activity, a class B felony, three counts of controlled substance violation, class C felonies and three counts of failure to affix drug stamp, class D felonies. Per a plea agreement, Buter plead guilty to one count of controlled substance violation and failure to affix drug stamp. A plea and sentencing hearing are scheduled for May 4 at the Crawford County Courthouse. The charges carry a maximum sentence of up to 15 years in prison and over $23,000 in fines.
